This is Phyllis and she was one of my very first clients who I supported for 13 years. Phyllis reached the grand age of 100 in December 2024 and sadly passed away in January 2025. I will always remember Phyllis, she was a remarkable lady and a true inspiration.

Meet the lovely Sandra with the most beautiful smile. Sandra and I spent many hours singing in the car and going to some lovely places for Coffee and Cake. Sadly, Sandra can no longer come out with me but I still visit her each week and we still have a giggle together.

Audrey and I have known each other for almost 7 years. Audrey loves nothing better then an outing in the car, hot chocolate, cake and visiting her old family home in Hartley Wespall.

Win and Bill are such a lovely couple. I started supporting them both when Bill was still living at home with Win and now I support Win by taking her to see Bill in the lovely home he lives in now, and I do a little bit of cleaning for her. It is always a delight spending time with them both.

This special lady was also my aunty who needed a helping hand and more support in her later life. Her sense of humour was off the scale and also made me cry with laughter. I miss her so much. We enjoyed going to some lovely places for coffee and cake.

My clients have been special to me through my own difficult time and I will forever be grateful for their support too. It really feels like a two way relationship, how it should be and long lasting friendships have been formed.

This is the delightful Rita. Rita is a lovely Irish lady I take to lunch on a Thursday. Some weeks we go to her favourite cafe in town and some weeks we go to a garden centre. We really enjoy each others company.

Tracey is a young lady I supported for a while who has Edwards syndrome. She is a remarkable young lady who has defied all odds so far and enjoyed car trips, chips and icecream.

I absolutely love every minute I spend with my clients. To me it is not just a job. Many of my clients may not remember what we did together the day after but in that moment that I am with them I make sure they are having a good time. These photos are a captured moment that will stay with me forever. I value my time with each and every one of them and my time is their time.

Maureen and John are a gorgeous couple, in fact the whole family are just delightful to know. Maureen and I go out twice a week which gives John some respite. You can often find Maureen and myself mooching around garden centres or enjoying a drink and cake somewhere lovely.

My Son, Connor was the inspiration for me to go into Care. His courage and strength taught me so much about caring . Connor is in my heart every single day and his memory carries me through supporting others. You can read more about Connor's story on ​www.connorsvoice.org.uk
