Hi. My name is Kate and I offer a number of services and skills I have gained throughout my life. It's my aim to help others live a more relaxed and comfortable life by taking on some of your chores and services for you, when you're feeling less able to. My skills are many and varied and it would be my pleasure to assist you.
My skills have developed due to caring for my son Connor for the last 21 years, who has a rare genetic disorder. Connor is now 21 - see photos above from when Connor was small to now. Since caring for Connor I have gained personal experience of what it's like to be a Carer and what that involves.
I have over 20 years' experience caring in the community, working for the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and also the British Red Cross. I have knowledge of working with Dementia and Parkinson's along with experience of working with disability, learning difficulties and families within an early years centre setting. I feel I give a personal touch to my work and deeply care about what I do. I have a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling which taught me that truly listening is so important. I have also completed courses on Dementia, Health and Safety and Safeguarding.
My main qualification is myself as I have an empathetic and gentle personality and love spending time with people and making a difference.
I have a DBS certificate plus employer's liability insurance and business insurance on my car, which enables me to carry clients to appointments, shopping and out on various trips and outings.
Contact me for an initial visit to enable me to introduce myself and discuss what your needs are, to enable me to tailor suitable arrangements for you.
To learn a little more about me, please have a look at my Testimonials Page where clients past and present have been kind enough to share their experiences about my work. As you'll see, I love my job and have some truly amazing clients. You can also see the the work I do by checking my Services page.
So whether you are a Carer who needs someone to step in to give you a break, or whether you are a person needing a little help with chores at home, or anything in between. Give me a call so that we can meet up and work out how I can help.
