I first met Kate Ivey when I was experiencing a very stressful time. My grown up daughter suffers from ME/CFS, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety and she was going through a particularly bad time. She was suicidal and extremely unhappy and distressed, and was calling me up every day in tears telling me she didn’t want to live!
As my daughters’ main carer I became extremely distressed and felt very isolated and lonely and realised I needed support and advice for myself and someone to talk to who wouldn’t judge me or my daughter.
I contacted the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and they allocated Kate to be my support worker. We met frequently and Kate helped me realise that I needed to take care of myself to enable me to support my daughter. The many words of wisdom and the support she gave me, literally saved my life.
Kate’s expertise in knowing what to say, what advice to offer and when to just listen helped tremendously – sometimes it’s just being able to talk to someone who listens and understands is all that is needed.
Kate’s kindness, empathy and experience are second to none, and I highly recommend her services. Her support made a huge difference to mine and my daughter’s lives.
Kate is a most trustworthy, caring and reliable person. She is supportive and always finds time to listen. She has been a dear friend for over 20 years, and in that time she has listened, healed, cared, laughed and supported.
Her own life experiences have given her a depth and perspective that make you immediately connect with her. She has an immense warmth about her and is always ready with her natural emphatic response.
I have known Kate for a number of years now; firstly as my care support worker, and now as a dear friend to me and my family.
Kate will always give 100%. She is honest, trustworthy, genuine, passionate, generous and a good listener. Kate has a very calming way about her, which is a lovely part of her personality.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kate, and wish her well in her future endeavours.
I have known Kate for nearly 10 years now and I consider her more than a friend. Kate helps me around my home, takes me to appointments and out for a coffee occasionally. Kate is reliable, trustworthy and always tries to be available when I need her. Kate is very helpful in many ways and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who may need some help.

When my husband was diagnosed with a life-long illness my GP suggested I might need a little help, to navigate around what was going to happen and where I could find help.
Thankfully Kate was able to help me through this most difficult time giving me the knowledge and support I needed to move forward.
Thank you Kate.
